🌈 Czech Archbishop Cancels Homosexual Eucharist After Catholic Backlash

The Archdiocese of Olomouc, Czech Republic, has cancelled a homosexual “pilgrimage” scheduled for September 19, in Olomouc.
Olomouc Archbishop Josef Nuzík, 60, was expected to preside at the Eucharist, giving the event direct institutional backing.
The program also included a presentation by priest Cyril Havel on Building a Bridge, a book by American Jesuit James Martin; a video greeting from Martin; testimony from parents of alleged transgender-children; and a discussion of different Christian approaches to homosexual pastoral care.
Organizers claimed a “wave of negative and hostile reactions” online, although they did not identify who was responsible or where these reactions were posted.
Claiming they could no longer guarantee participants a safe environment, organizers cancelled the event on August 14.
The event, Pouť na půli cesty (“Pilgrimage Halfway”), was to be the second pilgrimage for homosexuals, their relatives and other participants. It was organized by pastoral ministries …Gehiago

It's a test of faith to those who attend this mass. Will they return to the putrid Novus Ordo of travel to the mass that glorifies God , no matter where it may be.?

OBAMA ADMIN WANTS TO DEPORT CHRISTIAN HOMESCHOOLERS

The Romeike family fled their German homeland in 2008 seeking political asylum in the United States – where they hoped to home school their children. Instead, the Obama administration wants the evangelical Christian family deported.
The fate of Uwe and Hannelore Romeikie – along with their six children – now rests with the Sixth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals – after the Dept. of Homeland Security said they don’t deserve asylum.
Neither the Justice Dept. nor the Dept. of Homeland Security returned calls seeking comment.
“The Obama administration is basically saying there is no right to home school anywhere,” said Michael Farris, founder of the Home School Legal Defense Association. “It’s an utter repudiation of parental liberty and religious liberty.”
The Justice Dept. is arguing that German law banning home schooling does not …Gehiago

Cardinal Woelki: Novus Ordo Not Inferior to Tridentine Rite in Beauty and Dignity

The Mass in the traditional Roman rite plays “no separate or prominent role” in the Archdiocese of Cologne, "conservative" Cardinal Rainer Maria Woelki told Die-Tagespost.de on the occasion of his 70th birthday on August 17.
“I see myself entirely at home in the tradition and teaching of the Second Vatican Council,” Cardinal Woelki said. The liturgical reform was “one of the essential reforms” of Vatican II.
The cardinal expressed gratitude to the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP), which celebrates the Roman liturgy at designated locations in the archdiocese. “I see this as an enrichment, because there have always been different rites in the Church,” he explained.
His but: “The Novus Ordo Missae has a beauty and dignity that is in no way inferior to the Tridentine rite.”
For Cardinal Woelki, the ars celebrandi is decisive.
Liturgical abuses are not confined to the Novus Ordo, Cardinal Woelki believes. If Mass were merely "rattled off in ten to twelve minutes" - something that …Gehiago

“The Novus Ordo Missae has a beauty and dignity that is in no way inferior to the Tridentine rite.” I don't think that is true. There is a lack of coherency inherent in it no matter how devoutly offered. I have on a few occasions attended a devoutly offered Latin Novus Ordo without knowing much about the Tridentine Rite having just started attending. The Offertory is so short the heart is not prepared for the consecration, in addition there is the irritation of the "you say I say" dialogue that disturbs full participation. Let alone the very many other shortcomings.
He does make a serious and important point though concerning offering priest. I have heard of very short low Masses rattled off in record time in the past. It is sad to think of such a thing now. A lack of piety on the part of the priest and negligent liturgical oversight on part of the Bishop is toxic to any liturgy.
In the end of the day though you have to face one telling fact. No one, not even a heretic modernist would …Gehiago

Father Arminjon about the Jewish Question

"In the Middle Ages, the Christian nations and princes, enlightened by the Church, had foreseen this great social peril. On the one hand, they knew that they had a duty to bear with the Jews, and that it was impossible for them to make away with them, since the prophecies announce that they will subsist until the end of the times, and that only then will they return to the true Faith. On the other hand, they knew that they could not live in peace and security if they granted unrestricted freedom to such a grasping, all-pervading race. It is a fact of experience that, wherever the Jews establish themselves and predominate, they turn into despots and ravaging tyrants. That is why, denying them civil and political rights, which they would have abused - and do abuse - wherever wealth has made them masters, Canon Law granted them tolerance. It watched over them so that they might live in peace and go quietly about their activities and their commercial affairs without harming the Christians …Gehiago

Four paintings by the Renaissance master Antonello da Messina were stolen from a museum in Messina, Sicily, on Saturday, Italian officials said.
Taking advantage of an annual religious celebration that brings tens of thousands to Messina’s streets, thieves made off with three of five panels that constitute the Polyptych of San Gregorio as well as a small double-sided devotional painting. They are the only works by Antonello da Messina, commonly called Antonello, that remained in his native city.
The celebration, the Procession of the Vara, is a religious ritual that takes places every Aug. 15. Some 100,000 people attended the celebration and the city’s law enforcement officials were focused on maintaining order there, city officials said. “Coinciding with la Vara, it was certainly a planned theft,” Mayor Federico Basile said in a telephone interview.

At the High Mass of the Virgin Mary (La Virgen Grande), broadcast live by Cantabria Television, the parish priest of the Assumption of Torrelavega (Spain) relativized the dogma defined by Pius XII, attributed the Marian titles to "mythology" and introduced a "contemplative dance" surrounding the altar with colored skirts —men included— between the Gospel and the homily, in addition to jotas and pericotes in the middle of the offertory.
The parish priest said: "The colors signify that we are open to everyone, and dancing in circles indicates that no one is left out at the table of the Eucharist."
Father Juan Carlos Rodriguez del Pozo said in his homily: "Today we celebrate Mary's ascension to heaven, body and soul. Obviously, we don't have to take it literally. No human being will ascend to heaven body and soul. Heaven is not a physical place. Heaven is a state of the soul, a state of fullness, of happiness."
"God chooses Mary, a humble …

Representative Government and Chronic Ignorance

– Folha de S. Paulo, November 23, 1987
by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira
Today, I address a matter of great importance in our troubled national situation, but not in my capacity as President of the National Council of the TFP. I do so simply as an observer of events unfolding before everyone’s eyes. If I mention a current initiative of the TFP to illustrate my point, it is only because it provides a striking example and a useful analytical tool.
I aim to underscore the gap between the truly historic importance of several issues raised during the debates of the Constituent Assembly and the role culture has played in shaping those debates.
One could argue that the more significant a subject is, the more eager our constituents — and the political, social, and economic sectors interested in it — should be to listen to the experts (of whom we have long had a substantial number, endowed with unquestionable competence) whose contributions would elevate the preparatory studies and the debates …Gehiago

Leo XIV’s Peru Visit Prepared By Pachamama Offering:
On 13–14 August, “Entrelazando Voces por la Dignidad,” a regional gathering of social organizations and Indigenous communities, took place in Cusco, Peru. Spanish-language outlets, including Vatican News, linked it to preparations for Pope Leo XIV’s November visit. Bishop Lizardo Estrada Herrera, auxiliary bishop of Cusco and CELAM secretary-general, inaugurated the gathering; Bishop Miguel Ángel Cadenas of Iquitos also attended. InfoVaticana video shows the event opening with an Andean offering to Pachamama/Mother Earth. Participants received coca leaves, performed guided breathing, blew three times on the leaves, and placed them with food offerings in bowls on the ground. Bishop Estrada is shown adding coca leaves to the offering. Monsignor Jordi Bertomeu, Vatican official overseeing the dissolution of the community Sodalitium, also took part, placing coca leaves in the offering.
