Brazilian Bishop believes in "Goddess" and embraces "all sexual diversity": Bishop José Valdeci Santos Mendes, 64, of Brejo, Maranhão, presided over a Eucharist at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Conception on September 7, Brazil’s Independence Day. After Communion and before the final blessing, two young men recited the “Creed of the Youth of the Ecclesial Base Communities.” Developed in 2016, the text speaks of a “God/Goddess,” described as “liberating and revolutionary.” This creed explicitly rejects belief in a “hierarchical Church” while “embracing all sexual diversity.” Before the recitation, Bishop Mendes introduced the creed as a “supplication from the youth of Latin America, who stand before God asking him to come to meet us.”
A heterodox creed invoking a “God/Goddess” and featuring left-wing political language was recited at the annual “Cry of the Excluded” Mass celebrated by Bishop José Valdeci Santos Mendes of Brejo, Brazil.
Emma Bonino has died aged 78. May God have mercy on her soul. She was one of the most consequential figures in modern Italian politics, and Catholics should be honest about what that legacy means. She devoted much of her public life to causes fundamentally opposed to Catholic moral teaching, most notably the legalisation and promotion of abortion. She became a principal architect of Italy’s transformation from an overwhelmingly Catholic culture into a far more secular one. That makes Pope Francis’s repeated warmth towards her, including his extraordinary description of Bonino as one of Italy’s “forgotten greats”, all the more difficult to understand.
The priest behind the infamous “Eucharist at sea” has been appointed head of University Pastoral Ministry for the Archdiocese of Milan for the next five years. In July 2022, Don Mattia Bernasconi celebrated a Novus Ordo Mass waist-deep in the sea off Crotone, using an inflatable mattress as an “altar.” Since September 1, he has overseen the Archdiocese’s pastoral work with university students, while continuing as chaplain at Humanitas University, a position he has held since 2023.

On the same day that Fulton Sheen will be beatified in St. Louis, September 24, an interfaith “Women of Faith” event will bring together speakers from Hinduism, Ahmadiyya Islam and the Baha’i religion. The Archdiocese of St. Louis is listed as a “professional supporter” of the organization. Hosted at a Hindu temple, the event aims to promote appreciation for the “beliefs, values and practices” of other religions. A light vegetarian supper will also be served.

Das wurde schon ziemlich am Anfang aufgedeckt. Ich war zufällig diese Nacht munter und hab ferngesehen, weil ich nicht schlafen konnte, als diese Berichte plötzlich kamen. Ich habe die Szene, die hier gezeigt wird, als ein Flugzeug in hohem Bogen in das WTC II flog, im Fernsehen in Nahaufnahme und gestochen scharf gesehen und war sofort misstrauisch. Erster verdächtiger Punkt: Warum war die Kamera die ganze Zeit im perfekten Winkel auf das WTC II gerichtet, als plötzlich von links oben das Flugzeug herein kam und durch die Kurve rechts unten einschlug? Die Kamera wurde nicht bewegt, sie war exakt auf diese Stelle ausgerichtet, als ob der Bediener schon vorher den "Einschlagsort" kennen würde. zweiter verdächtiger Punkt: Die Szene hätte aus einem Kathastrophenfilm stammen können, so perfekt waren die Bilder positioniert, das Flugzeug flog genau im goldenen Schnitt in das Gebäude.
